The Singapore Airshow 2024, which will be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre from 20 to 25 February, will see a total of eight aerial displays including one flypast from six air forces and two commercial companies. Flying performances are always a key highlight at the Singapore Airshow.
The 2024 edition’s aerial performances present the largest number of foreign flying teams with Indian Air Force’s Sarang showcasing its aerobatic helicopter manoeuvres at Singapore Airshow for the first time. The line-up also includes the Royal Australian Air Force’s Roulettes and Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter.
Another special aerial highlight is the Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles which will perform an impressive 22-maneuver routine, showcasing their exceptional skill and teamwork. Witness their signature “Taegeuk” stunt, where they paint the Republic of Korea flag with white smoke against the Singapore skyline. Witness the “Victory Roll” and the “Bon Ton Roulle,” all performed with precision and grace.
Capping the list is the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s integrated aerial display team featuring an F-15SG fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.
The United States Air Force’s B-52 Stratofortress will also be making a flypast on 22 February.
And flying for the first time at Singapore Airshow, is the C919, a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC, who is making its maiden participation at Asia’s most influential aerospace and defence event.
Commercial plane enthusiasts can also look forward to Airbus’ A350-1000 aerial display which is returning to mesmerise with its remarkable combination of grace and efficiency.
The first four days of the airshow from Tuesday to Friday, billed as Asia’s most influential aviation event, are reserved for trade visitors, and the two days after that over the weekend, are ticketed events open to the public.
After a pandemic-induced hiatus in 2022, the public will once again be able to attend the Singapore Airshow to view aerial performances and get up close with aircraft on display. Tickets allowing the public to enter the event grounds at Changi Exhibition Centre on Feb 24 and Feb 25 are on sale. Organiser Experia Events said more than 60,000 public visitors are expected over the weekend.
For trade attendees, the 2024 edition promises a full-scale return, with more than 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries expected to participate. In 2022, the Singapore Airshow had close to 600 participating companies from 39 countries and received over 13,000 trade visitors from 110 countries and regions.
The flying displays will be held once a day at 12:30pm on 20 February, 11:30am on 21 and 22 February; while during Weekend@Airshow (which are open to the public) it will be twice a day at 11:30am and 2:30pm on 24 and 25 February.
