Coloproctology and Stoma Care Conference

Malaysia Wins to Host Coloproctology and Stoma Care Conferences

Exploring the advancements and breakthroughs in the field of coloproctology and stoma care, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is gratified to assist the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (MSCRS) in winning the bid to host the 20th Congress of Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology & 14th Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation Congress in March 2025.

International medical congresses play a pivotal role in the exchange of prevalent professional opinions among healthcare professionals. This win significantly exudes Malaysia’s tenacity to successfully secure bids to shore, further escalating Malaysia’s position as a top business events hub in Asia, particularly in the field of medical and health congresses.

“Malaysia is immensely honoured to host this symbolic gathering of top professionals from around the world. We hope the congress will lead to not only networking amongst experts but more importantly in innovation and research. Malaysia constantly aims to provide the best avenue for such congresses and will continue to express unparallel support to our partner, the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons’, said Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

Malaysia’s first recipient of Honorary Fellowship of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) and Immediate Past President of the Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology, Professor Dr. April Camilla Roslani expressed, “The APFCP Council has once again voted for Malaysia due to the strong and compelling bid presented by the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons with the great support from the government.  I am sure everyone is looking forward to having a face-to-face meeting back in 2025 in Malaysia.”

“As the incoming President of the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (2023 – 2025) and organising chair of the congress in 2025, I look forward to showcase the advances in medical science and state-of-the-art facilities that Malaysia has to offer to overseas delegates. Winning a bid of an international congress is not easy and winning it for the second time is even more challenging. We will be proud to showcase Sabah as the destination for the congress which has world class meeting facilities and a myriad of destinations for retreat,” said Dr. Luqman Mazlan, Organising Chair.

MyCEB truly hopes that the congress will be able to create a focal point that attracts all the major stakeholders, promote the advancement of medical science, and create a lasting legacy for the medical community. Looking ahead, Malaysia will continue to maintain its momentum in charting new direction and capturing the demand of the business event industry.
