During New York City Climate Week, Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr and New York City Mayor Eric Adams inaugurated “Hertz Electrifies New York City,” a groundbreaking public-private partnership designed to amplify electric vehicle (EV) adoption and extend the environmental and economic advantages of electrification across diverse neighborhoods.

Hertz chair and CEO Stephen Scherr and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer launched Hertz Electrifies Orlando, a public private partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and expanding the environmental and economic benefits of electrification across Orlando.

Hertz Chair and CEO Stephen Scherr and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock launched Hertz Electrifies in Denver at Montbello Career and Technical High School and announced intentions to expand the availability of electric vehicles (EVs), charging infrastructure, and EV education and training opportunities in the Denver community. 

Hertz and AAA, one of North America’s largest and most trusted membership organizations serving over 56 million U.S. members, have extended their exclusive, 45-year relationship with the signing of a new five-year agreement.

Hertz (NASDAQ: HTZ) announced a new public-private partnership initiative, Hertz Electrifies, aimed at accelerating the transition to electric vehicles, while creating economic opportunity and environmental benefits for communities.

Hertz and General Motors Co. announced an agreement in which Hertz plans to order up to 175,000 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac and BrightDrop EVs over the next five years.
