Occupying one of Phuket’s most prime locations, perched atop a hillside above the ocean, Amari Phuket has recently announced the opening of its new Ocean Wing, which started welcoming guests from 1st June 2015. “We have totally renovated all property since 3 years, invested 750 million baht which is almost US$25 million investment in our 200 rooms in the main wing, pool, and afterwards we developed Ocean Wing” said Pierre-Andre Pelletier – Vice President, Area General Manager South Thailand and General Manager of Amari Phuket.
The new Ocean Wing complements the existing property and introduces an additional 148 one and two bedroom suites. Elegant yet casual, the suites are designed for comfortable coastal living, each room features floor-to-ceiling windows, complete with a fully equipped kitchen as well as a separate living and dining area; ideal for entertaining family or friends.
Mr. Pierre said that the investment pays off and the hotel reached 70-80% occupancy at the new wing.
Ocean Wing guests with Club privileges will have access to the exclusive Clubhouse, a haven of sophistication with awe inspiring views of Patong Bay. Designed for contemporary and refined travelers, the Clubhouse is home to an infinity pool, sun deck and its own fitness room, all reserved exclusively for Club guests. The Clubhouse lounge serves breakfast and an a la carte dining menu all day long. Complimentary tea, coffee and light snacks will also be available throughout the day and sunset complimentary cocktails with pre-dinner canapés served daily.
Mr. Pierre also mention about their Italian restaurant; La Gritta which has an Italian woman chef from Rome. La Gritta Restaurant is also in the Top 5 romantic restaurants in Phuket.
