The all-inclusive Barceló Maya Grand Resort celebrates tequila 365 days a year. But on March 23, 2019 the Riviera Maya Resort plans to take things to the next level by attempting a record to achieve a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the largest tequila tasting event.
The resort is comprised of Barceló Maya Beach, Barceló Maya Caribe, Barceló Maya Colonial, Barceló Maya Tropical, and the all-suite, AAA Four-Diamond Barceló Maya Palace.
Organized in collaboration with the Certifying Company Tequila Royalty, Barceló Maya Grand Resort’s tequila tasting extravaganza will take place at the Chichén Itzá meeting room in the Convention Center and will be directed by Tequila Technician Fernando Luevano, featuring five premium Mexican tequila brands, including:
• Tequila Silver: Gran Reserva de Don Alberto
• Tequila Reposado: Tierra Sagrada
• Tequila Añejo: Cava de Oro
• Tequila Extra Añejo: Cocollan
• Tequila Extra Añejo Cristalino: Adictivo

This event will also commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Tequila Regulatory Council (TRC) and the head of the TRC (Ramon Gonzalez Figueroa) will be in attendance.
