Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Galaxy Macau™, has unveiled its latest gem, Andaz Macau. This luxurious establishment is not only the first Andaz brand hotel in Macau but also stands as its largest property worldwide.
Drawing inspiration from Macau’s rich art, culture, and architecture, Andaz Macau boasts over 700 uniquely designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel is a testament to the city’s vibrant soul, showcasing a remarkable collection of artworks and artifacts that narrate Macau’s story.
Stephen Ho, President of Growth and Operations for Asia Pacific at Hyatt, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration with Galaxy Entertainment Group. “This is a momentous occasion for us,” he said, believing that the hotel’s immersive experience will captivate both locals and tourists.
Strategically located between the scenic neighborhoods of Old Taipa and Coloane, Andaz Macau offers guests easy access to the city’s traditional attractions and Galaxy Macau’s world-class amenities. Its proximity to the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) and the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena makes it a prime choice for convention attendees and leisure travelers alike.
William Cheung, general manager of Andaz Macau, highlighted the hotel’s exceptional social spaces, innovative dining options, and elegant event venues. “Our primary aim is to provide an exciting hotel experience infused with the rich cultural heritage of Macau,” he said.
The hotel’s design is a celebration of Macau’s heritage. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a stunning wall installation titled “Landscapes Interlaced” and can admire sculptures made with hand-painted Portuguese tile patterns. A standout feature is the “Macau Steps,” a multi-sensory staircase showcasing over 100 videos that narrate the city’s history.
The guestrooms, inspired by the surrounding landscapes, range from spacious 375 square feet rooms to expansive 730 square feet suites. They are complemented by local amenities and a minibar stocked with local treats.
Food enthusiasts will be delighted with Andaz Macau’s culinary offerings. The Andaz Kitchen, the largest eatery, offers a mix of Chinese, Portuguese, and Western dishes. Adjacent to it is the Andaz Studio, a multi-function venue, and the intimate Andaz Bar, where guests can savor creative cocktails.
For wellness enthusiasts, the hotel offers a heated swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and access to the Grand Resort Deck at Galaxy Macau.
