Hilton Worldwide and Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. The property is Hilton Worldwide’s 12th hotel in Japan, and the sixth in the Kanto region alongside Hilton Tokyo, Conrad Tokyo, Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa, Hilton Tokyo Bay and Hilton Narita.
“Odaiba is one of Tokyo’s most popular tourist destination and dating spots, famous for its shopping centers, museums and landmarks such as the Fuji TV,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, full service brands, Hilton Worldwide.
“Hilton Tokyo Odaiba is a significant addition to our portfolio in Japan and the Kanto region and underscores our deep commitment to serving this market. The location makes the hotel a great base for both leisure and business travelers visiting Tokyo, and positions us well to capture opportunities from Japan’s rising inbound tourism and the momentum building for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020,” said Timothy Soper, vice president of operations for Japan, Korea and Micronesia, Hilton Worldwide.
Strategically located in the waterfront area of Odaiba, the 15-storey property offers excellent access to key business and commercial districts including Shinagawa, Marunouchi and Ginza. The hotel is directly connected to the Daiba station of the Yurikamome Line and is 16 kilometers away from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) – only a 20 minute ride on the airport shuttle bus. In its immediate vicinity is a popular entertainment and shopping area featuring shopping malls, an amusement park, a bay cruise and parks with scenic views of the Tokyo Bay area.
All 453 guest rooms, which includes 17 suites with private balconies, offer stunning panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and the iconic Rainbow Bridge. The wide-ranging dining options include Sakura, a classic Japanese restaurant, Ocean Dining, which offers great buffets with flavors from around the world and Taronga, offering flame-grilled beef and alfresco dining with a great selection of wine. In addition, guests can dine at Veranda, the perfect place to take in a scenic Tokyo Bay sunset with an array of delicate pastries at the iconic Hilton dessert buffet.
