Marina Bay Sands completes renovations of all its hotel rooms, ushering in a new era of luxury hospitality

Marina Bay Sands has announced that renovations of its entire hotel room inventory of 1,850 rooms including 775 suites, have been completed. It marked the complex’s most significant milestone in its US$1.75 billion multi-year refurbishment programme.

The iconic integrated resort also celebrated its 15th birthday last month.

Its refreshed Sands Collection features around 1,480 rooms and suites. Designed as an urban sanctuary, it includes the elegant Sands Premier Room and the spacious Sands Family Suite. A dedicated Premium Services team ensures a seamless, high-touch experience for guests.

The ultra-luxurious Paiza Collection, which offers 370 room keys on the top floors of all three towers at the complex, offers mostly suite accommodation, including the three- to four-bedroom Chairman Suite with its 146” television, karaoke facilities and fully stocked kitchen.

Up another level, the two-bedroom Presidential Suite is fitted out with a golf simulator loaded with golf courses; and the one-bedroom Horizon Suite with its rejuvenating spa-in-a-city concept, comprising a Himalayan salt wall, hammam shower, dry sauna, private gym and two massage tables.

With the completion of the room renovations, Marina Bay Sands now has 775 suites, up from its previous number of 180. Guests receive round-the-clock service from a 160-strong Butler Services team – one of the largest butler teams in the world.

Tallest Chinese Restaurant in Singapore

Marina Bay Sands’ first and fully-owned and operated Cantonese restaurant ‘Jin Ting Wan’ is due to open in July this year. It can seat 166 guests and is located on the 55th floor of Tower 1, offering panoramic views of both the city and sea.

Other refurbishments include ‘LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar’, within the second half this year. Guests can also look forward to enhanced lobby experiences and an all-new luxury spa that will be revealed soon.

Marina Bay Sands previously announced in April 2024 that design and programme enhancements to its expansion project will commence in July 2025, with targeted completion by July 2029.

The expansion project is separate from this US$1.75 billion reinvestment in the existing property.

The expansion will include a luxury hotel tower (its 4th tower) with a sky roof, a 15,000-seat entertainment arena and additional premium MICE as well as new food and beverage and nightlife offerings.

Godzilla Visits Marina Bay

As an aside, but interesting news, Godzilla, the King of Monsters, arrived in Singapore in a 55-second video tribute to its fans in Southeast Asia. In a clip posted on the franchise’s official YouTube page, Godzilla can be seen emerging from the waters of Marina Bay with iconic sights like Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay in the background.

For 70 years, Godzilla has commanded the big screens and captivated the world. For the first time across Southeast Asia, the legend emerges in a powerful tribute to the fans who have kept its legacy alive. You can watch the YouTube clip here.
