Marriott International has announced an enhanced collaboration with Cathay, enriching the travel benefits for members of both Marriott Bonvoy and Cathay Membership programs.
This strategic partnership aims to provide members with expanded access to exclusive benefits, including a limited status match offer and accelerated points earning through a two-way conversion between Miles and Points.
The alliance grants Marriott International access to Cathay’s vast membership base, linking 11 million Cathay members worldwide with Marriott’s extensive portfolio of nearly 8,800 hotels and resorts.
Effective immediately, members of both programs can enjoy a range of benefits and privileges, such as hotel stay redemptions, mutual points transfer, and superior flight and travel package experiences.
Alison Yang, Marriott International’s Vice President, emphasized the commitment to delivering exceptional experiences that connect members globally through travel. The partnership with Cathay is seen as a significant step towards engaging more members in the region, allowing them to explore new destinations and unlock a wealth of rewards and privileges across both loyalty programs.
