Minor Hotels Brings Avani to Singapore

Minor Hotels is set to bring its Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand to Singapore in the first quarter of 2027, marking a significant milestone for the global hospitality group.

The new Avani Singapore will be located at 24 Peck Seah Street in the vibrant Tanjong Pagar district, a prime location that offers easy access to Singapore’s Central Business District and Chinatown.

The upcoming 13-storey, 200-key Avani Singapore will be developed in partnership with Singapore’s Kajima Development and Abu Dhabi-based Alwathba Investment. The hotel’s design aims to blend the city-state’s rich heritage with contemporary urban development, creating an upscale property that reflects the unique character of the Tanjong Pagar Historic District. Guests will be surrounded by a fusion of old and new, from iconic shophouses to modern skyscrapers, capturing the essence of Singapore’s evolution.

Tanjong Pagar is renowned for its culinary landscape, ranging from traditional hawker fare at Maxwell and Amoy Street food centres to Michelin-recommended global cuisine along Kiong Siak Road, Telok Ayer, and Duxton Hill.

The Avani Singapore will cater to both business and leisure travellers seeking a stylish and convenient stay amid this bustling food and cultural hub.

Busan Green and Growing

The hotel’s strategic location—just a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and Maxwell MRT Station—will ensure easy access to Singapore’s Downtown Core, Marina Bay, and other popular districts frequented by locals and tourists alike.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture: “Avani Singapore represents a strategic market entry for Minor Hotels, and we are honoured to have our partners Kajima and Alwathba alongside us as we venture into Singapore’s hospitality sector. Their industry expertise and market knowledge will ensure the delivery of an exceptional hotel experience, creating a vibrant base for business and leisure travellers.”

Launched in 2011, Avani Hotels & Resorts has become synonymous with stylish rooms, connected social spaces, and relaxed dining tailored for today’s traveller. The brand currently operates 42 hotels and resorts across 24 countries, and Minor Hotels plans to nearly double this number to almost 100 by the end of 2026. With new openings scheduled in Thailand, China, and the Seychelles later this year, the group is accelerating its global expansion to meet the growing demand for its contemporary, lifestyle-focused offerings.

Avani Singapore will play a key role in Minor Hotels’ expansion strategy to strengthen its footprint in major global destinations. The addition of this property in one of Asia’s most dynamic cities highlights the group’s commitment to growing its presence in key markets and delivering experiences that blend local culture with modern hospitality.

The entry of Avani Hotels & Resorts into Singapore signifies a new chapter in the city’s hospitality landscape. By combining the energy of the Tanjong Pagar district with Avani’s distinctive approach to hotel design and guest experience, Minor Hotels aims to offer something truly unique to both international visitors and local residents. The countdown to 2027 has begun, and with it, the promise of a fresh, exciting destination in Singapore’s hotel scene.
