New InterContinental and Indigo Hotels Debut in Lima’s Coastal District

New InterContinental and Indigo hotels debut in Lima’s coastal district, marking a significant milestone for IHG Hotels & Resorts and its regional partner, Grupo Poma. Situated atop the cliffs of the Costa Verde in Miraflores, the dual-property complex blends international luxury with the rich culture of Peru’s capital, offering visitors and locals an immersive hospitality experience in one of Lima’s most iconic neighborhoods.

The joint launch of InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores and Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores introduces two distinct but complementary hotel concepts. Each property celebrates a different facet of Peruvian identity—refined elegance on one side, and creative, urban flair on the other—while sharing a common vision of community connection, culinary excellence, and coastal charm.

InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores: Elevated Coastal Luxury

The InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores rises 21 stories above the Pacific Ocean, featuring 321 luxurious guest rooms including 29 suites with panoramic sea views. Designed with comfort and sophistication in mind, each room includes spa-style bathrooms, Egyptian cotton linens, and curated local details. A highlight for business travelers is the exclusive Club InterContinental lounge, offering personalized services and commanding views over the boardwalk.

With over 950 square meters of event space, including 11 multifunctional rooms, the hotel caters to conferences, weddings, and private events. The rooftop oasis—home to Miraflores’ largest outdoor infinity pool—includes gardens and lounging areas designed for both relaxation and panoramic sightseeing.

Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores: Design Meets Storytelling

Just steps away, Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores offers 76 rooms, including 10 uniquely designed suites. Inspired by the 1970s Lima aesthetic, the interiors feature bold color palettes, textured layers, and artistic references to local geography and heritage. From the adobe geometry of Huaca Pucllana to the surfing culture of the Pacific coast, the hotel is a living canvas of Miraflores’ past and present.

Guests can enjoy a rooftop pool with panoramic city views, spa-inspired bathrooms, and social spaces designed to invite both travelers and the local community. Hotel Indigo’s boutique-lifestyle philosophy is evident throughout, especially in the vibrant restaurant Nina, which showcases Peruvian fusion cuisine rooted in neighborhood flavors.

A Culinary and Wellness Destination

The dual-property complex is home to five distinct dining venues:

The Market offers a build-your-own meal experience using fresh ingredients selected by diners and prepared in an open kitchen. Factory Steak & Lobster delivers classic steakhouse fare with premium cuts and an extensive wine selection. Nau Nikkei Rooftop features Japanese-Peruvian fine dining served with expansive views from the 21st floor. Circo, an outdoor restaurant and bar located between both properties, combines refined open-air dining with live music and local talent. And Nina, at the heart of Hotel Indigo, presents bold, creative takes on Peruvian fusion dishes.

Wellness seekers will find serenity at Presence Spa, a 400-square-meter sanctuary offering personalized treatments, wet areas, and a hot tub with direct sea views. The spa is open to guests of both hotels, which also feature fully equipped fitness centers to complement the wellness experience.

Miraflores: Culture, Coastline, and Community

Miraflores remains one of Lima’s most sought-after districts, known for its clifftop parks, artistic enclaves, and vibrant lifestyle. The hotel complex is ideally positioned near the Larcomar shopping center and close to San Isidro and Barranco, placing guests at the heart of both cultural landmarks and modern attractions.

With this dual launch, IHG reinforces its commitment to Latin America’s hospitality landscape. Jorge Apaez, Chief Operating Officer for Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean at IHG, emphasized the significance of the project as a blend of heritage and innovation. Meanwhile, Fernando Poma, Executive Director of Real Hotels & Resorts, described the opening as “the realization of a dream” and a defining move into the Southern Hemisphere.

As IHG continues to expand globally—with more than 6,600 open hotels and over 2,200 in development—this twin debut in Lima reflects the group’s ongoing investment in unique destinations that offer a blend of culture, design, and unforgettable experiences.
