Raffles Hotels & Resorts has officially opened Raffles Jeddah, a landmark luxury hotel positioned along the city’s historic Corniche overlooking the Red Sea, with bookings accepted from 25 May 2026.
The property features 182 guestrooms and suites spread across one of two distinctive towers, the other housing 120 branded residential apartments. All accommodations include private terraces with uninterrupted Red Sea views, and guestrooms start at 67 square metres, making them among the largest hotel rooms in the city. The residential tower extends the Raffles waterfront lifestyle to private homeowners, a combination that positions the development as both a hospitality and residential landmark on the Jeddah skyline.
The hotel is Raffles‘ second property in Saudi Arabia, following Raffles Makkah Palace, and is operated under the Accor group. The opening is timed to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambition to attract international visitors and diversify the economy beyond oil revenues.
“Our opening in Jeddah, a dynamic coastal city on the Red Sea that has been shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, is exciting and marks an important milestone for the Raffles brand while also strengthening Accor‘s presence in Saudi Arabia,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts. “With this debut, we are proud to contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambitions and its emergence as a leading global luxury destination.”
Architecturally, the hotel draws on Jeddah‘s maritime history and the Hejazi building tradition. Interiors were designed by Robert Angell and feature mashrabiya screens, carved wood latticework, sculptural columns, and reflective surfaces inspired by sunlight playing across the Red Sea. Wall motifs reference Al-Balad, Jeddah’s historic UNESCO World Heritage district. The Raffles Spa and wellness areas were conceived by Tristan Du Plessis. Artworks by Saudi and Middle Eastern artists are displayed throughout the property.
Fredrik Blomqvist, General Manager of Raffles Jeddah, said: “Raffles Jeddah has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the spirit of this remarkable city while delivering the elegance and highly personalised service that defines the Raffles brand. From the architecture and art to culinary and wellness experiences, every detail reflects our commitment to creating a destination that feels both locally rooted and globally sophisticated.”
Food and beverage offerings are central to the hotel’s identity. Surl’O is an all-day brasserie overlooking the waterfront. Atorie Lounge & Patisserie blends French pastry traditions with Japanese techniques, serving tea, desserts, and mocktails throughout the day. A third restaurant concept, described as Mediterranean in inspiration and influenced by the slow-living ethos of Italy and the South of France, is scheduled to open at a later date.
The Raffles Spa and Wellness Centre includes separate areas for men and women, treatment rooms, Moroccan hammams, fitness centres, swimming pools, and a private couple’s suite. A bridal suite with a dedicated private lift to the spa is also available, positioning Raffles Jeddah as a destination for weddings and social celebrations. The ballrooms, named Pearl and Crystal, can collectively accommodate up to 700 guests. Six meeting rooms, a business centre, a VIP lounge, and pre-function areas round out the events offer.
The hotel is situated close to key city landmarks including Fakih Aquarium, Al Shalal Theme Park, Red Sea Mall, and Boulevard Jeddah. King Abdulaziz International Airport is approximately 25 minutes by road, giving the property strong connectivity for both leisure and business travellers.
The opening adds further weight to Jeddah‘s growing profile as a luxury tourism hub. Long known as the Bride of the Red Sea, the city is a UNESCO-recognised historic centre, a commercial gateway, and a departure point for pilgrims travelling to Makkah. The arrival of Raffles follows a wave of international brand openings tied to Saudi Arabia‘s broader hospitality expansion, which also includes the forthcoming Raffles The Red Sea on Shura Island.
The 24-hour butler service, for which the Raffles brand is internationally recognised, will be the only such offering among hotels in the city, according to the company.
