TIME Hotels to Debut HALO and VIVI Brands in the Indian Ocean

TIME Hotels will debut HALO and VIVI brands in the Indian Ocean, marking a significant chapter in the UAE-based hospitality group’s global expansion. Announced ahead of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, this strategic move underscores the brand’s bold ambition to reach 100 properties within five years — a leap that positions TIME Hotels as a rising player in international hospitality.

Island Luxury Meets Lifestyle Innovation

The Indian Ocean will soon welcome two new TIME Hotels concepts, each tailored for a different kind of traveler. The upscale HALO by TIME brand and the lifestyle-focused VIVI by TIME will make their debut in the Maldives, an island nation long known for redefining luxury and experiential travel.

Located on Hankede Island in the Addu Atoll — the southernmost point of the Maldives — these twin developments promise distinct offerings. HALO by TIME will feature 150 keys over eight storeys, including bespoke over-water villas designed to capture both sunrise and sunset vistas. Its design blends refined comfort with high-end leisure, aimed at travelers seeking immersive yet tranquil escapes.

VIVI by TIME, by contrast, embraces a youthful, social spirit. With 75 rooms spanning six floors, the lifestyle brand will offer sweeping sea views and modern amenities curated for contemporary explorers. It’s designed for travelers who value personalization, creativity, and a strong sense of place.

Both properties are being developed in partnership with the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC), a state-owned entity dedicated to national growth through private sector investment and financial innovation. The collaboration emphasizes TIME Hotels’ commitment to sustainable and inclusive tourism in emerging destinations.

Growth Beyond the Islands

The Maldives launch is part of a broader expansion strategy that includes 12 new TIME Hotels openings by Q1 2026. These will span high-growth destinations including Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Morocco, and the Indian Ocean region. With this aggressive pipeline, the group aims to double its footprint while continuing to tailor its offerings for local markets.

“By Q1 2026, TIME Hotels will add 12 new properties across key destinations,” said Mohamed Awadalla, CEO of TIME Hotels. “From aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to supporting eco-tourism growth in Africa and venturing into Asia, we’re leveraging regional success to build a globally recognized portfolio.”

All Brands Under One Roof

At ATM 2025, TIME Hotels is also showcasing its entire suite of brands for the first time. These include:

  • HALO by TIME – the premium upscale experience with a focus on elegance and exclusivity.
  • VIVI by TIME – a vibrant lifestyle brand designed for adventurous, socially connected travelers.
  • Rotella – the company’s newest luxury offering, featuring cultural immersion, bespoke service, and upscale comfort.
  • TIME Hotels & Resorts – the flagship premium brand delivering authentic, high-standard hospitality.
  • Express by TIME – a budget-friendly concept offering convenience, comfort, and essential amenities.
  • TIME Residences – now categorized into Premium, Executive, and Classic, offering flexible living solutions for both short and long stays.

“For the first time, we will be showcasing all our sub-brands under one roof,” added Awadalla. “This is a major moment for TIME Hotels as we demonstrate our ability to scale without compromising quality.”

A Brand Rooted in the Region, Growing Globally

Founded in 2012 in the UAE, TIME Hotels has evolved into a regionally respected hospitality group with a growing global footprint. Currently operating 17 properties across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, the group manages more than 3,000 keys, with 5,000 more in development.

TIME’s brand philosophy merges modern design and service excellence with cultural awareness and sustainability. Whether for leisure, business, or long-term residence, TIME Hotels caters to the diverse needs of today’s travelers — and its expansion into the Indian Ocean marks just the beginning of a bold new chapter.

TIME Hotels will be exhibiting at Arabian Travel Market from April 28 to May 1 at Stand HC1530.
