Raffles Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of Andrew Hartley as the new Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing. With this new role, Hartley will be at the helm of two of the most iconic luxury hotels in Southeast Asia, namely Raffles Hotel Le Royal and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.
Hartley, now operating out of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, comes with an impressive portfolio spanning over two decades in the luxury hospitality sector. He has showcased his expertise in renowned hotel destinations, including Australia, Singapore, China, Thailand, the UK, Oman, and Vietnam.
Prior to this appointment, Hartley significantly impacted Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts in the Asia-Pacific region in his role as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Sales and Marketing. His career also boasts leadership stints at Sofitel luxury hotels, notably as the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing covering territories like Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. Furthermore, he held key positions at Sofitel Shanghai Jing’an Huamin in China and the illustrious Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi in Vietnam.

Raffles Hotel Le Royal, a gem in the heart of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s bustling capital, dates back to its grand opening in 1929. The hotel recently underwent a comprehensive restoration in 2019, and now flaunts 175 elegantly refurbished rooms and suites.
Conversely, Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor is synonymous with the rich Khmer archeological heritage. This historic hotel, opened in 1932, served as the primary resting place for archeologists and enthusiasts keen on exploring the mesmerizing kingdom of Angkor Wat. Today, it stands near one of the most sought-after UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is revered as a Cambodian national treasure.
