DoubleTree Philadelphia Appoints Baris Agacbuken as General Manager

Hilton has appointed Baris Agacbuken as the new general manager of the 481-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City.

In his new role, Agacbuken will lead the team in all aspects of hotel operations, overseeing the property’s dining venues, amenities and more than 27,000 square feet of meetings and events space. He will also oversee the property’s multi-phase renovation, beginning with phase one, which will focus on the hotel’s meeting spaces, main lobby, and food and beverage outlets and is expected to be completed in Q1 2026. A guestroom renovation will follow in late 2026, with completion expected by mid-2027. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City is managed by Hilton and owned by Lobro Associates.

“We are very privileged to have someone of Baris’ industry experience leading the team and overseeing the property-wide renovation in progress,” said Rebecca Feigen, Lobro Associates.

“Baris’s proven track record in leading large-scale renovations and his deep expertise across operations and meetings and events make him an exceptional fit to oversee the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City,” said Kristen Stampe, area vice president of operations, Hilton. “His extensive leadership experience positions him perfectly to elevate the guest experience and drive the success of this hotel.”

“I look forward to this new opportunity and am proud to be able to lead the hotel’s phenomenal team,” said Agacbuken. “My goal is to ensure this hotel remains a top choice for both leisure and business travelers visiting Philadelphia by delivering outstanding customer service and amenities here in the heart of Center City.”

Prior to joining the property, Agacbuken was hotel manager at the 1,622-room Hilton New Orleans Riverside, where he oversaw an $80 million renovation. Before joining Hilton New Orleans Riverside, he held various hotel leadership roles with Marriott International, Two Roads Hospitality and served in meeting and events and conferences services at both Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center and Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

Agacbuken is actively involved in the community and volunteers with The LCC Foundation, which supports families in the U.S. and abroad affected by leukoencephalopathy with brain calcifications and cysts. Through this work, he helps provide vital resources to those impacted by this rare and devastating disease—an effort that reflects Hilton’s culture of service and commitment to giving back.

He is a graduate of Mersin University in Türkiye, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in tourism administration and hospitality management.
