The team at W Fort Lauderdale welcomes industry veteran Alex Caceres as the new Director of Sales and Marketing, taking the helm to lead efforts for the hotel’s continued growth as a top provider of beachfront luxury.
With more than 14 years of professional experience with the Marriott brand, Caceres has a strong background in sales and operations, and a proven track record of executive leadership in the sector.
In this new role, Caceres is responsible for developing and maintaining strategies for revenue growth, managing sales and marketing talent, ensuring the passions of the W brand are upheld, striving to meet brand and business goals, and maintaining the level of excellence consistently set by the award-winning property.

Caceres spent the last three years as Director of Sales at the JW Marriott, Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa overseeing a team of 10 sales executives and contributing toward a record-setting year in the leisure segment, exceeding budget expectations and revenue. Prior to that, she served as General Manager of several Marriott International brand hotels in South Florida, including the Courtyard by Marriott Weston, AC Miami Beach, and Residence Inn, Miami Airport.
Known for her well-rounded and results-driven approach, Caceres has been recognized throughout her career as a top driver of growth in bookings, occupancy, revenue, and partnerships – consistently providing YOY growth and success in all of her roles. With close to 20 years of experience in the South Florida market, Caceres brings a wealth of local knowledge and deep-rooted relationships, while her tenure with Marriott International provides her with established expertise of the brand and its standards.
