Sophie Perret Named Managing Director of HVS London

HVS, the global hotel advisory heavyweight, has recently appointed Sophie Perret as the new Managing Director of its esteemed London office.

A seasoned professional in the hotel advisory realm, Perret first began her journey with HVS in Madrid back in 2003 before moving to the London branch in 2006. Her tenure with HVS has seen her taking on pivotal roles across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, offering her expertise on various hotel investment projects and championing the expansion of HVS services throughout Europe.

Charles Human, European President of HVS, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, noting, “We are delighted that Sophie is our managing director. These are unprecedented times for the hotel industry, with swift recovery underway and ongoing market shifts. Sophie’s leadership will undoubtedly steer us adeptly through these waters.”

On her part, Perret shared her excitement about her new role, “The European hotel sector is in a transformative phase, adapting to the post-pandemic world with its unique challenges and opportunities. I am eager to lead our talented team in London, ensuring that we continue to offer the exemplary services that our clients have come to expect from HVS.”

Sophie Perret is no stranger to the world of hotel management and advisory. Beginning her career in Buenos Aires with her bachelor’s degree in hotel management, she was part of the pioneering team at the InterContinental Buenos Aires. Further academic pursuits led her to Paris where she earned an MBA from IMHI (jointly accredited by ESSEC Business School, France, and Cornell University, USA) and an MSc in real estate investment and finance from Reading University in 2014.

Apart from her academic and professional achievements, Perret is also a recognised member and registered valuer of the RICS. Between 2014 to 2017, she co-chaired the Hotel & Resort Council of the Urban Land Institute in Europe and is a sought-after speaker at various industry events. Additionally, she holds non-executive positions in both the education and housing sectors.
