Mosaic Hotel Collection, a group of award-winning hotels in coveted destinations across Northern California and Mexico, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cody Felice as Managing Director of The Elene, Napa Valley’s newest boutique resort and dining experience, opening in fall 2026.
Concepted and managed by Mosaic Hotel Collection and developed by St. Helena-based Napa Valley Land Company, The Elene is uniquely located along the Napa Valley Vine Trail and will feature 50 guest rooms and suites; a signature upscale restaurant with a renowned chef presence and open-hearth cooking; an all-day café designed as a welcoming neighborhood hub; a heated vineyard pool and Thermal Garden; and a robust cycling program – all designed to foster engagement between the community and the natural landscape. Felice is currently Vice President of Operations at Mosaic Hotel Collection, where he oversees the company’s portfolio of MICHELIN-recognized luxury properties. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of daily operations, focusing on delivering elevated guest experiences, innovative programming, and an authentic connection to the Napa Valley community.
“The Elene’s mission is to create a home, not a hotel – a stay unlike anything in Napa Valley that prioritizes human connection, a sense of play, and feelings of comfort and belonging,” says Tim Harmon, Chief Executive Officer of Palisades Hospitality Group, which includes Mosaic Hotel Collection. “There is no better leader to bring this vision to life than Cody. With his deep roots in Napa Valley and his expertise at Mosaic, he understands exactly how to make The Elene feel like a welcoming escape; one where conscious luxury meets the raw beauty of nature, all without a hint of pretension.”
A seasoned hospitality leader with a proven record of driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction across luxury properties nationwide, Felice has previously held senior roles at The San Francisco Proper, Carneros Resort and Spa, Gurney’s Montauk Resort, and The Dewberry Charleston. His strategic thinking, team development, and creation of meaningful guest experiences have resulted in improved performance, high satisfaction rankings, and numerous industry accolades throughout his career.
“The name ‘Elene’ means ‘shining light’ in Greek, and we want every guest to feel that sense of a fresh dawn and endless possibilities,” said Felice. “At The Elene, luxury isn’t about grandiosity; it’s about the luxury of time spent reconnecting with yourself and those around you. Our goal is to create a sanctuary that encourages guests to slow down, engage with nature, and write their own adventures, and I am thrilled to realize this vision as we ready the property and welcome guests this fall.”
The Elene is located on a 5-acre property in Napa Valley and is the only luxury hotel positioned directly along the 47-mile Napa Valley Vine Trail, acting as a bridge between the community and the Vine Trail and a true basecamp for active discovery. Upon opening, the resort will serve as a gathering place for guests, locals, and Napa Valley Vine Trail riders thanks to its robust onsite cycling program, The Barn (an onsite adventure headquarters), a transformative Thermal Garden featuring an outdoor hydrotherapy recovery circuit, and spacious outdoor communal spaces to relax and unwind after a day exploring.
Additionally, The Elene will offer public dining options that celebrate the soul and ingredients of its wine country surroundings, including an elevated restaurant with a vibrant dinner party atmosphere and a communal table that serves as the heart of the home; and the café, which will bring the same quality ingredients and thoughtful execution in a more casual grab-and-go format. The relaxed luxury of Napa Valley is also embodied throughout The Elene’s design of its 50 rooms and suites, outdoor grounds, and public amenities, which feature architecture by Signum, interiors by Parts and Labor Design, and landscape design by Surfacedesign that seamlessly integrates the property in with its vineyard surroundings.
Mosaic Hotel Collection is a collection of individually branded, modern boutique hotels under the umbrella of Palisades Hospitality Group, a bespoke hospitality company. The Elene will further elevate Mosaic’s diverse collection of exceptional properties, authentically capturing the best of Napa Valley through spontaneous moments, thoughtful design, immersive dining, and experiences that foster interaction and radical connection – inviting both visitors and locals to organically gather.
