Uwe Kattwinkel (52) will become the new Senior Vice President Communications at airberlin from the beginning of August.
Uwe Kattwinkel will report directly to CEO Stefan Pichler. He takes over from Aage Dünhaupt, who has decided to leave airberlin to pursue new challenges. Aage Dünhaupt will continue to serve as a consultant for airberlin.

After his studies in Social and Business Communication in Berlin, the qualified advertising merchant and communications specialist started his career with Dusseldorf communications agency Kothes & Klewes (nowadays Pleon), then joining broadcaster Sat 1 in Berlin as editor and press officer in 1992. In 1995, Uwe Kattwinkel took over as Head of Corporate Communications at Robinson Club GmbH and other hotel companies under TUI Deutschland, and in 1999 he became a freelance communications consultant. From 2004 to 2013, he headed Corporate Communications at TUI AG and then returned to freelance communications consultancy.
