Air Seychelles Launches Seasonal Flights to Reunion Island

As part of an ongoing effort to enhance connectivity and promote tourism exchange within the Indian Ocean region, Air Seychelles is set to inaugurate its first-ever direct flight to the French Overseas Department – Reunion Island on December 30, 2024.

It will mark a significant step forward in strengthening ties between Seychelles and Reunion Island, offering travelers new opportunities to explore these beautiful destinations.

The new route, which includes a technical stop in Mauritius, will operate on a seasonal basis, with flights scheduled for December 30, 2024, and January 6, 13, and 18, 2025.

The inaugural flight will depart from Roland Garros Airport in Reunion at 2:50 pm and arrive in Seychelles at 5:25 pm, making it a convenient option for holidaymakers looking to ring in the New Year on the pristine beaches of Seychelles.

Air Seychelles is not just about convenience; it’s a calculated step towards boosting tourism between the two islands. The flights are expected to make Seychelles more accessible to Reunionais tourists, who can now easily experience the islands’ world-renowned beaches, vibrant culture, and unique attractions.

This strategic initiative promises Reunionais tourists enhanced accessibility to our pristine beaches, vibrant cultural experiences, and unparalleled attractions, reinforcing Seychelles’ position as a premier tourism destination in the Indian Ocean region.”

Air Seychelles’ latest route addition reflects its commitment to expanding its regional presence and offering more travel options to its customers. Currently, the airline operates flights to several key destinations, including Colombo, Tel Aviv, Johannesburg, Mumbai, and Mauritius, using its modern Airbus A320NEOs.

As Air Seychelles prepares for its first flight to Reunion Island, anticipation is building among travelers and tourism stakeholders alike.
