Leading global travel retail and F&B player Avolta AG has expanded its footprint at Norway’s Oslo Gardermoen Airport with the addition of 10 new food and beverage outlets.
This development reinforces Avolta’s long-standing partnership with Avinor, the airport’s operator, as it brings an innovative and eco-conscious dining experience to travelers.
Spanning over 2,600 square meters, the new outlets feature a mix of local and international dining concepts. Avolta integrates advanced technology solutions, such as 24-hour self-service food walls and QR code ordering, providing a seamless experience for travelers. The company has also partnered with Klimato to include carbon footprint calculations for dishes, enabling eco-conscious choices at every step.
The rollout of these outlets began in December 2024, with the first location already operational. The remaining outlets are expected to open gradually through the first half of 2025, enhancing both domestic and international terminals. This expansion builds on Avolta’s existing presence in Norway, which includes popular concepts like Sirkus Renaa at Stavanger Airport—a local hero led by Michelin Star chef Sven Erik Renaa—and Crafts, a gastropub showcasing Rogaland’s culinary heritage.
With more than 15 years of history at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, Avolta continues to transform the food and beverage landscape. According to Walter Seib, CEO Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe at Avolta, the new contract marks a milestone in their partnership with Avinor. “It is a privilege to contribute to the airport’s F&B transformation with the award of this significant contract,” he noted.
Avinor’s Executive Vice President of Commercial Areas, Joachim Lupnaav Johnsen, expressed similar enthusiasm, stating, “This new agreement will enhance the food and beverage offerings across the Domestic and International Terminals, catering to the diverse tastes of both Norwegian travelers and visitors to Norway.”
From gourmet dishes crafted by renowned chefs to quick, tech-driven solutions for travelers on the go, Avolta’s expansion at Oslo Gardermoen Airport showcases its commitment to quality and innovation. As these outlets continue to open, travelers can look forward to an elevated dining experience that blends convenience, sustainability, and local flavor.
