easyJet Adds 13 New Winter Routes Including Cairo and Lapland

easyJet has launched 13 new winter routes from eight UK airports, adding destinations including Cairo, Lapland, Reykjavik, Geneva and Copenhagen as the airline expands its network for the 2026-27 winter season.

The new services will operate from London Luton, London Southend, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Newquay, with flights beginning between October 2026 and January 2027. The expansion also supports easyJet holidays, which is offering package holidays on most of the new routes with deposits starting from £60 per person.

The airline said the new routes are designed to provide customers with more options for winter sun, ski breaks, city escapes and adventure travel while strengthening regional connectivity across the UK.

Cairo, Lapland and Iceland Among New Destinations

Among the new additions is a twice-weekly service from Manchester to Cairo, launching on 9 November. easyJet said it will be the only airline offering a direct route from Manchester to Sphinx Airport, which serves visitors heading to the Pyramids of Giza and western Cairo.

Flights from London Luton to Kittilä in Finnish Lapland will begin on 24 November, while a new route to Strasbourg launches on 29 November. The airline is also adding services from Liverpool to both Reykjavik and Kittilä.

Newcastle will gain five new routes to Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hurghada and Rovaniemi. The airline said the additions will increase its Newcastle network to 31 routes, four times larger than when it opened its base there in March 2026.

In southern England, easyJet will launch a new domestic route between London Southend and Edinburgh from 25 October, while Birmingham will gain a twice-weekly connection to Copenhagen from 16 November.

The airline is also launching its first international route from Cornwall Airport Newquay. The seasonal service to Geneva will operate weekly on Saturdays from 16 January to 27 February 2027 and will be the only direct connection between Newquay and Switzerland.

Package Holidays and Growth Plans

easyJet holidays packages are available across all of the new destinations except Kittilä and Rovaniemi. Packages include flights, hotel accommodation and 23kg luggage, while holidays to Cairo and Hurghada also include transfers.

The airline also highlighted its Book with Confidence Promise, which guarantees that flight and package prices will not increase once booked. easyJet said it expects to carry more than 50 million passengers this summer as it continues to expand its network despite capacity reductions by some competitors.
