flydubai Launches Daily Flights to Bhairahawa, Nepal

flydubai has expanded its footprint in Nepal with the launch of daily flights to Bhairahawa, marking the airline’s second destination in the country.

The inaugural flight, which landed on November 9, 2024, was greeted with a water cannon salute at Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) in Siddharthanagar city, Bhairahawa.

The arrival was celebrated by airport officials, symbolizing the strengthening of ties between Nepal and the UAE.

This new route highlights flydubai’s commitment to serving underserved destinations and supporting the flow of trade and tourism. Since the introduction of direct flights to Kathmandu in 2009, flydubai has transported over three million passengers between Nepal and the UAE, creating strong travel and business links between the two regions. The addition of Bhairahawa as a destination aims to offer more options for travelers looking to explore Nepal or connect through Dubai’s bustling aviation hub.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent) at flydubai, emphasized the airline’s dedication to expanding connectivity. “We are committed to opening up underserved destinations and creating free flows of trade and tourism, and we are pleased to add Bhairahawa to our service offering in Nepal. We are always exploring opportunities to better serve our customers, and the inauguration of our new daily flights to Bhairahawa underscores our commitment to offer reliable and convenient travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub,” he said.

Operating from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB), flydubai’s daily service to Bhairahawa provides a convenient travel link for passengers in both Business and Economy classes. The return flights from Bhairahawa to Dubai will be routed through Kathmandu, accommodating the growing demand for travel between the two nations.

The new route to Bhairahawa is part of flydubai’s rapidly expanding network, which now includes over 125 destinations across 55 countries. This year, flydubai also began services to Basel in Switzerland, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, and Kerman and Kish Island in Iran, further broadening its reach across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, and South Asia.

Flight Details:

Flights between Dubai International (DXB) and Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) will operate daily. Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bhairahawa start at AED 3,600, while Economy Class Lite fares start at AED 1,800. Return fares from Bhairahawa to Dubai begin at NPR 145,000 for Business Class and NPR 70,000 for Economy Class Lite.

The launch of this route reinforces flydubai’s commitment to connecting travelers with emerging destinations and offering diverse travel options through Dubai’s global aviation network. As flydubai continues to expand its services, passengers can look forward to more direct and convenient travel options across the airline’s extensive network.
