JetBlue is expanding its premium Mint service from Fort Lauderdale with a new daily route to San Diego and additional Mint flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco, marking the airline’s largest Mint schedule ever from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The new daily Mint service between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego International Airport will begin on November 19, 2026. The expansion will also increase premium transcontinental capacity to Los Angeles and San Francisco this winter, offering South Florida travelers more premium travel options to the US West Coast.
JetBlue said the enhanced schedule will provide up to eight daily flights between Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles and up to three daily flights between Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco. The airline will also become the only carrier offering a business class product between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego.
Mint is JetBlue’s premium cabin product, featuring fully lie-flat seats, enhanced onboard service and curated dining options. The airline said the expansion reflects continued demand for premium coast-to-coast travel from South Florida.
“Customers in Fort Lauderdale continue to choose JetBlue for a better coast-to-coast experience, and these additions give them even more of what they value most: more flights, more premium options and the comfort of Mint on key West Coast routes,” said Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President, Revenue, Network and Enterprise Planning.
“With new Mint service to San Diego and additional flying to Los Angeles and San Francisco, we’re making it easier for South Florida travelers to get where they want to go with the service, style and value that sets JetBlue apart.”
Fort Lauderdale Continues to Grow
JetBlue has continued to strengthen its position in Fort Lauderdale, which serves as one of the airline’s key focus cities and a gateway to destinations across Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The carrier said it has increased daily departures from Fort Lauderdale by more than 75% this year and expects to operate approximately 150 daily flights from the airport by this winter. That would represent the largest schedule in the airline’s history at Fort Lauderdale.
The new San Diego service is expected to further enhance connectivity between South Florida and Southern California while adding a premium travel option for business and leisure travelers.
New San Diego Service Opens for Booking
Flights between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego are now available for booking through JetBlue’s website and mobile app. The airline said TrueBlue members who book the new route by June 21, 2026, may be eligible to receive 2,500 bonus TrueBlue points.
The daily service will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7:00 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 9:39 a.m. The return flight will depart San Diego at 11:00 a.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 6:55 p.m.
The expansion reinforces JetBlue’s strategy of growing premium travel offerings while increasing its presence in key markets across the United States.
