Courtyard by Marriott has announced the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort in Japan. The 170-room beachfront resort in Nago marks the brand’s debut in Okinawa, deepening Marriott International’s resort footprint in Japan’s southernmost prefecture, famous for its rich Ryukyuan culture, coral reefs and UNESCO-listed Yambaru NationalPark.
Famed for its subtropical climate, crystal-clear waters and easy island rhythm, Okinawa draws millions of domestic and international visitors each year. The hotel sits approximately 72 kilometers, or one hour’s drive, from Naha International Airport.
The hotel offers guests a scenic beachfront retreat with uninterrupted ocean and mountain views. Just steps away is the Busena Marine Park Underwater Observatory, where visitors can descend into an undersea observation tower and enjoy panoramic views of Okinawa’scolorful marine ecosystem and coral reefs.
