JetBlue and Air Serbia Announce New Codeshare Agreement

JetBlue [NASDAQ:JBLU] and Air Serbia have announced an exciting new partnership that will bring enhanced travel connectivity to passengers. With a newly established codeshare agreement, Air Serbia-operated flights will now be available through JetBlue.com.

Starting from July 26, 2023, JetBlue’s “B6” airline code will be placed on Air Serbia-operated nonstop flights between New York’s JFK and Chicago’s O’Hare airports to Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport. JetBlue also has future plans to extend its code to include other flights between Belgrade and various points in Europe. In reciprocation, Air Serbia intends to add its “JU” airline code to 25 destinations within JetBlue’s network.

JetBlue CEO, Robin Hayes, highlighted the continuous effort to expand partnerships and provide more choices for customers. The successful interline partnership between JetBlue and Air Serbia since 2016 has laid the foundation for this new codeshare agreement. Hayes expressed confidence in the immense potential this collaboration holds, inviting Air Serbia customers to experience JetBlue’s excellent service and affordable fares.

Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with JetBlue, emphasizing the increased travel possibilities it would offer between the United States and destinations across the Air Serbia network. Particularly, this partnership will be instrumental in opening up travel options within the broader Balkan region.

This alliance between JetBlue and Air Serbia marks an exciting development for travelers, as it expands their options and provides seamless access to destinations previously not easily reachable. With this new codeshare agreement, passengers can look forward to a more convenient and comprehensive travel experience.
