This innovative initiative ensures that children aged 13 years and below can sit adjacent to an adult included in the same reservation, making family travel more convenient and stress-free.
This initiative is a testament to JetBlue’s enduring commitment to elevating the travel experience by offering comfort and alleviating the stresses of journeying with young ones. “Our aim is to alleviate the challenges faced by parents traveling with young children by ensuring a seamless trip each time they opt for JetBlue,” stated Joanna Geraghty, the president and chief operating officer of JetBlue. She emphasized that this refined family seating policy is a reflection of JetBlue’s pledge to satisfy customer needs and deliver unparalleled service.
The family seating guarantee by JetBlue introduces a revamped process that automatically recognizes reservations involving children and adults traveling together without predetermined seating arrangements. This service, provided at no extra cost, guarantees that a child traveler is allocated a seat beside at least one adult companion, subject to seat availability.
Even customers opting for JetBlue’s Blue Basic fare, the airline’s equivalent of basic economy, will benefit from the family seating policy. However, for reservations made less than 24 hours before travel, seat assignments may require manual intervention by a JetBlue airport crew member. To ensure the most seamless travel experience, all customers are encouraged to select their seats while booking proactively.
