Munich Airport has ramped up its connectivity with China, now offering 24 weekly flights to and from the major cities of Shanghai and Beijing.
This increase in flights marks a return to full-scale operations, making Munich a bustling hub for passengers traveling between Bavaria and China.
As an added benefit, Chinese travelers can once again avail themselves of free personal shopping assistance services in Terminal 2.
The shopping assistance service, aimed at enhancing the travel experience for Chinese visitors, provides native language support to help overcome language barriers.
Initiated in 2015 and paused during the pandemic, this service has now resumed, offering support with purchases, security checks, customs procedures, and VAT refunds.
Terminal 2 Gesellschaft, a collaboration between Lufthansa and Munich Airport, offers this tailored assistance to enrich the passenger experience further.
Chinese-speaking shopping assistants are available on-demand at the airport or can be pre-booked by calling +49 172 21 14 772 during service hours.
“We are thrilled to welcome an increasing number of passengers from China and provide them with this exclusive service once more,” said Ivonne Kuger, Managing Director of Terminal 2 Gesellschaft.
This initiative reflects Munich Airport’s commitment to accommodating international travelers and enhancing their stay in Germany.
