Qatar Airways has marked a significant milestone with the successful launch of its inaugural flight to Lyon, a picturesque city in France.
The direct service, operated by a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 aircraft, will offer four weekly flights, taking off on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. This new route not only strengthens Qatar Airways’ foothold in France but also contributes to the expansion of its global network, which now encompasses over 160 destinations worldwide.
The momentous occasion was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in both the Premium and Economy Cabins of the aircraft. Passengers were warmly greeted with traditional French delicacies and treated to a curated menu featuring premium French cuisine. Among those present to welcome the inaugural flight from Doha were M. Pierre Grosmaire, the Director of Commercial and Marketing of the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport, and Mr. Eric Odone, Qatar Airways’ Vice President of Sales, Europe.
