SAS Expands Summer Routes with Wroclaw & Bilbao

SAS is set to enhance its global hub at Copenhagen Airport by launching new routes to Wroclaw, Poland, and Bilbao, Spain, as part of its ambitious 2025 summer schedule.

These new routes follow the recent launch of flights to Seoul, bringing the total number of new routes from Copenhagen to 19 for the upcoming summer season.

This expansion reinforces Copenhagen’s role as a global hub, offering travelers seamless connections across the Nordics, Europe, and long-haul destinations.

With the addition of Wroclaw and Bilbao, along with the launch of 19 new routes from Copenhagen, we remain committed to enhancing connectivity and meeting the diverse travel preferences of our customers.Copenhagen continues to serve as a pivotal international gateway to and from Scandinavia and Northern Europe”, says Henrik Winell, Vice President Network at SAS.

Along with hub developments, SAS is enhancing the peak summer schedule with five new leisure routes, offering travelers even greater access to popular holiday destinations. Two new leisure routes will be introduced from Copenhagen: Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, and Varna on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.

Oslo will gain direct flights to the Greek island of Rhodes, while Bergen will connect directly to Málaga-Costa del Sol in Spain. Stockholm will introduce a new route to Bodø, a gateway to outdoor adventures in northern Norway.

With these additions, SAS’ summer network will encompass 240 routes, including 108 from Copenhagen, 63 from Stockholm, and 50 from Oslo, as well as routes from Gothenburg, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, and Kristiansand.

These developments underline SAS’ dedication to adapting the network to diverse travel needs. By expanding the Copenhagen base and introducing new leisure destinations, SAS aims to provide a flexible and comprehensive network for the upcoming summer season.
