SAS Is Giving Business Travellers a New All-in-One Credit Card

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is launching its own business credit card program, introducing the SAS EuroBonus Executive Business Card for small and medium-sized enterprises across Scandinavia. The card combines loyalty points, lounge access, travel insurance and integrated expense management in a single product.

The rollout will take place in phases across Scandinavia. The card is issued on the Mastercard network as a World Elite product and is crafted in metal, targeting executives, business owners and finance managers who travel frequently.

Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, said the program was designed to simplify business travel and spending. “This program is built with a simple purpose: to make everyday business life easier for our customers. Companies tell us they want less administration, clearer travel benefits and a card that genuinely supports how Scandinavian businesses operate,” said Verhagen.

“With this program, they get smoother expense handling, EuroBonus points, better travel experiences for their teams and a single product that replaces what previously required several cards and platforms,” he added.

Cardholders receive 20,000 yearly Level Points and earn 25 EuroBonus points per 100 SEK, DKK or NOK spent, which SAS describes as the highest EuroBonus earning rate available on the market. The card also includes SAS Lounge access, Priority Pass membership, premium travel insurance, digital cards and flexible credit limits.

A dedicated app delivers full expense and receipt management that integrates directly into ERP systems, replacing the need for separate expense platforms. The functionality is designed to give finance teams real-time visibility over company spending without additional administrative overhead.

The platform is powered by Nordiska‘s embedded finance and Cards-as-a-Service infrastructure, which handles card issuance and credit capabilities. The app experience and expense management tools are delivered by Danish fintech company Cardlay.

SAS positions the product as a first for the Scandinavian market, where no existing card fully combines loyalty, technology and banking in one solution. The airline says the offering places it among the first global airline loyalty programs to launch a business credit card enabled by embedded finance infrastructure, with the airline retaining ownership of the customer experience.

The launch comes in the same year SAS marks its 80th anniversary. The airline has operated the EuroBonus loyalty program for decades, and the new card extends that program into the business payments space for the first time under its own brand.

Scandinavian businesses have long managed travel spending across multiple cards and expense tools. SAS is betting that consolidating those functions under its own loyalty umbrella will appeal to the region’s frequent business travellers, particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises where administrative efficiency carries significant weight.
