Turkish Airlines has unveiled its largest lounge outside Turkey at Narita International Airport in Tokyo. The lounge offers travelers a blend of Turkish hospitality and Japanese elegance.
This marks the airline’s seventh overseas lounge, providing premium amenities to enhance the passenger experience.
Spanning 800 square meters, the lounge currently accommodates 105 guests simultaneously but is set to expand to 1,500 square meters, making it a standout addition to Narita Airport’s facilities.
Turkish Airlines Far East and Oceania Sales Vice President Ümit Develi emphasized the cultural significance of this opening, stating that the lounge reflects the deep-rooted connection between Turkey and Japan, a relationship that has flourished for over a century.
An Exclusive Lounge Experience
Designed with traditional marbling art elements, the lounge seamlessly integrates Turkish and Japanese aesthetics, creating a refined yet inviting atmosphere. One of its most unique features is a pita oven, a first for Turkish Airlines’ lounges outside of Istanbul. Guests can enjoy an open buffet featuring a fusion of Turkish, Japanese, and Far Eastern cuisines, providing an authentic taste of regional flavors.
Beyond its culinary offerings, the lounge is equipped with a shower, toilet, and a baby care room, catering to the needs of both business and leisure travelers. The expansion will further enhance these amenities, offering more space and comfort for Turkish Airlines’ passengers.
Narita International Airport Company President and CEO Akihiko Tamura praised Turkish Airlines for its contributions to the airport’s expanding network, expressing appreciation for the airline’s decision to establish its second Asian lounge at Narita.
As Turkish Airlines continues to expand its global footprint, the Narita lounge stands as a testament to the airline’s commitment to passenger comfort and cultural fusion.
