Cunard’s newest luxury ship, Queen Anne, made a grand entrance into her home port of Southampton ahead of her inaugural journey to Lisbon. Accompanied by local boats, Queen Anne sailed into Southampton Water, marking a historic moment for the luxury cruise line.
This elegant vessel, the 249th in Cunard’s fleet, arrived from Italy after an official handover ceremony at the Fincantieri Maghera shipyard in Venice. Thousands of spectators lined Southampton Water to witness the arrival of the 113,000-ton, 3,000-guest Queen.
An official blessing and plaque exchange ceremony are scheduled at Mayflower Terminal on Friday, May 3.
