In a remarkable show of resilience and continued strength for the cruise industry, Holland America Line has recorded its highest number of bookings on a single day in its 150-year history.

On July 11, the cruise line saw an unprecedented surge in bookings, breaking its previous record for booking revenues on a single day. This demonstrates the unwavering appeal of cruise travel and the enthusiastic anticipation of future trips by eager cruisers.

The bookings made on July 11 were predominantly for sailings scheduled in 2024 and 2025, indicating that travelers are eagerly planning ahead for their vacations. The destinations of interest spanned Holland America Line’s marquee locations, including Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean. There was also a notable increase in bookings for the line’s new Legendary Voyages, which offer longer itineraries and captivating destinations. Reservations were made for destinations around the world, such as Australia, South America, the South Pacific, and Asia.

Gus Antorcha, President of Holland America Line, sees this record-breaking booking day as an encouraging sign for the entire cruise industry. He states, “For Holland America Line, it’s an endorsement of the quality of cruising product we’re able to offer to our guests. People are planning their vacations for next year and even into 2025, and in the process, they’re choosing the best service at sea and the unforgettable destinations that we offer.”

Through their “Alaska Up Close” program, guests are immersed in the local culture, with authentic onboard programming, cruise activities, and award-winning shore excursions. This commitment to providing an immersive experience contributes to the enduring popularity of Holland America Line’s Alaskan cruises.

In addition to their Caribbean offerings, Holland America Line distinguishes itself by providing longer sailings that allow guests to explore a greater number of islands within a single itinerary. This differentiated experience appeals to travelers seeking a more in-depth exploration of the Caribbean’s diverse destinations.

Looking ahead, Holland America Line’s upcoming Europe seasons will feature an array of captivating itineraries. From trendy destinations like Greenland and Iceland to the sun-kissed skies of Greece and Turkey, guests can choose from a range of weeklong getaways and extended voyages spanning multiple regions. Moreover, with two Pinnacle Class ships set to homeport in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 2024, guests are already booking cruises for Northern European and British Isles journeys.

To further enhance the guest experience, Holland America Line recently launched Legendary Voyages, a new category of longer cruises that provide destination-rich itineraries. These meticulously crafted voyages offer passengers the opportunity to linger longer in each port, immersing themselves in the cultural highlights and sights of each captivating destination.
