Star Princess Float Out Ceremony

Star Princess to Offer Expanded Non-Smoking Casino Areas in 2025

Princess Cruises has revealed exciting new features for the upcoming Star Princess, which is set to launch in fall 2025.

As the second Sphere Class ship in the fleet, Star Princess will introduce expanded non-smoking casino areas along with a host of other enhancements aimed at elevating the guest experience.

The new vessel, which mirrors the design of her sister ship, Sun Princess, currently sailing in the Caribbean, promises to offer a luxurious and innovative cruise for travelers.

The Star Princess, a 4,300-guest ship weighing 178,000 tons, will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), continuing the company’s commitment to sustainability. Like her predecessor, Sun Princess, she will feature cutting-edge designs, including The Dome, the first geodesic dome at sea, and The Sphere, a spectacular glass-enclosed Piazza at the heart of the ship.

Expanded Non-Smoking Casino Areas

Gaming enthusiasts will find 68 additional slot machines in newly designated non-smoking sections of the casino, offering a more comfortable environment for those preferring smoke-free gaming. This is one of the key enhancements Princess Cruises is bringing to the Star Princess, catering to a broader range of guests.

Dining and Leisure Expansions

The popular O’Malley’s Irish Pub will expand with 32 more seats, accommodating more guests seeking traditional Irish fare, live music, and a wide selection of beers and whiskeys. For those looking for a unique dining experience, the expanded Love by Britto dining venue will add 20 more seats, offering its signature seven-course fusion menu curated by artist Romero Britto and Chef Rudi Sodamin.

Active travelers will also enjoy the new SkyDeck Sports Court and Track. This outdoor space will feature areas for pickleball, basketball, a jogging track, and shaded spots for relaxation, making it a versatile venue for fitness and leisure.

Accommodation and Luxury

With over 2,100 staterooms, including 80 suites, 123 mini-suites, and more than 1,000 balcony cabins, Star Princess ensures a wide variety of accommodation options. For those seeking ultimate relaxation, The Sanctuary Collection offers exclusive access to the top deck retreat area, private dining, and high-end amenities. This collection caters to guests in suites, mini-suites, and 12 deluxe balcony cabins, providing a heightened level of luxury and privacy.

Inaugural Voyages

The Star Princess will debut with a season of Caribbean cruises before repositioning to Alaska in spring 2026. Guests can now book these exciting voyages, which promise breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences both onboard and onshore.

The enhancements on Star Princess reflect Princess Cruises’ continuous efforts to offer innovative and tailored experiences for all types of travelers. Whether guests seek non-smoking casino areas, expanded dining options, or luxurious accommodations, the Star Princess will provide it all when she sets sail in 2025.
