Hyatt Introduces the Wellbeing Collective: A Global Initiative Tailored for Travelers’ Health and Wellness

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled its latest initiative, the Wellbeing Collective, designed to cater to the specific health and wellness needs of travelers worldwide.

This innovative program, which currently encompasses over 30 Hyatt properties, is set to expand further in 2024.

The Global Business Traveler report recently highlighted that a staggering 93% of corporate travel managers have observed employees utilizing health and wellness services during their travels. Recognizing this trend, Hyatt’s Wellbeing Collective offers a curated selection of wellbeing experiences across its diverse portfolio of brands. These experiences are tailored for individual leisure travelers, groups, and meeting attendees.

A few standout experiences from the Americas region include:

  • Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort: Here, travelers can embark on an outrigger canoe journey, exploring Mōkapu Beach and delving deep into Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage.

  • Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas: Guests can contribute to beach conservation efforts in collaboration with the Rob Machado Foundation, emphasizing the importance of community wellbeing and environmental stewardship.

  • Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa: Embracing Texas’s cultural heritage, guests can learn the art of lassoing with professional ropers, all set against the backdrop of the picturesque Lost Pines wilderness.

TJ Abrams, Hyatt’s Vice President of Global Wellbeing, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience. “Hyatt is redefining the standards of wellbeing in travel. Every interaction is meticulously designed to support our guests’ holistic wellbeing,” Abrams stated.

In tandem with the Wellbeing Collective’s launch, Hyatt has pioneered a global sales role focusing on curating wellbeing collaborations for event planners. This strategic move follows the appointment of Abrams as the vice president of global wellbeing in December 2022.

Hyatt’s commitment to wellbeing extends to the meetings and events sector. At the IMEX America 2023 tradeshow, Hyatt showcased its “Together by Hyatt” offering. This immersive experience educates event planners on integrating wellbeing, technology, sustainability, and support into their events. Features include chef-curated experiences, meditation pods in collaboration with Headspace, and a carbon emissions event simulator wall.

“Care + Wellbeing” stands as a cornerstone of the “Together by Hyatt” initiative, reflecting the increasing demand for health-conscious and environmentally-friendly meeting venues. Through this program, event planners can craft experiences that help attendees relax, concentrate, and remain invigorated.

Hyatt’s collaboration with Headspace further amplifies its dedication to mental wellbeing. Event organizers can seamlessly integrate Headspace’s meditation and mindfulness resources, ensuring attendees remain stress-free and rejuvenated.
