Ferretti Group has unveiled the Riva 54Metri, the largest yacht the Italian luxury brand has ever built, marking a new milestone in a shipbuilding heritage stretching back more than 180 years. The all-aluminium superyacht measures 54.83 metres in length with a maximum beam of 9.18 metres, and carries a gross tonnage of 499 GT.
Announced on 26 June 2026 in Ancona, the four-deck vessel accommodates up to ten guests across four cabins and a master suite, supported by a crew of up to 11 in six dedicated cabins. Powered by twin MTU engines producing a combined 2,864 kW, the yacht reaches a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising range of approximately 3,600 nautical miles at 11 knots.
“The Riva 54Metri is much more than the largest Riva ever built. It is the expression of over 180 years of craftsmanship, innovation and an uncompromising pursuit of beauty,” said Stassi Anastassov, Ferretti Group Global Chief Executive Officer. “It carries the timeless elegance that has defined Riva for generations, while setting new standards in design, technology, comfort and the onboard experience.”
The superyacht was designed in collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta — exclusive designers of the entire Riva range for 30 years — the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee and the Group’s Engineering Department. Its exterior palette combines Moon Grey, London Grey and Bright Black, accented by polished steel detailing and the brand’s signature aquamarine waterline.
“Riva 54Metri is a sleek and elegant yacht: a balanced blend of sportiness and sophistication,” commented Mauro Micheli, Chief Designer, and Sergio Beretta, CEO at Officina Italiana Design. “She achieves a unique equilibrium between volumes, proportions and masses, becoming an almost sculptural object.”
The central design philosophy is a seamless connection between the yacht and the sea. Fold-out bulwarks on both the beach area and main deck cockpit extend the available deck space and create terraces that appear to float above the waterline. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout reinforce that relationship, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.
The beach area on the lower deck spans 42.5 square metres and centres on a four-by-two-metre pool finished in white ceramic tiles. The pool is fitted with two freshwater tanks and a heating system specifically engineered to keep it full while the yacht is underway, removing the need to drain and refill between short passages. Two fold-out bulwarks on either side add a further 20 square metres of deck space, bringing the total beach area to more than 60 square metres.
Interiors draw on a rich material palette that pairs natural teak with Tunisian Sahara Noir and African Bianco Rhino marbles, leather-clad surfaces and polished steel detailing. The main salon seats ten at a dining table set on a Bianco Rhino marble platform, lit by a crystal chandelier. The master suite spans the yacht’s full beam and includes a hydro-massage shower with chromotherapy, double Sahara Noir basins and a king-size leather-upholstered bed.
The sun deck, covering more than 100 square metres, features a Jacuzzi, custom sun loungers, a lounge area and an al fresco dining table for ten. All sun deck furnishings were custom designed by Officina Italiana Design and colour-coordinated with the hull. A 55-inch television, concealed inside a storage unit and capable of rotating 180 degrees, completes the space.
Technology is central to the proposition. The yacht carries Starlink satellite broadband alongside traditional TVSAT antennas and is OneWeb ready, ensuring connectivity in any waters. An integrated cybersecurity system based on a professional firewall platform protects onboard networks and data. Home automation and entertainment across all decks is managed through a VideoWorks system controllable via iPads, covering lighting, audio-visual systems and mood settings.
The helm station features a 44-inch stretch display flanked by two 27-inch monitors and three 24-inch touchscreens, paired with a Full ECDIS navigation system. Four Naiad Dynamics electric stabiliser fins reduce rolling in all conditions, while a maximum draught of just 2.25 metres ensures access to a wide range of anchorages. Sound insulation throughout includes floating floors, viscoelastic coatings and furnishings fully decoupled from the aluminium structure.
The vessel is certified by Lloyd’s Register to the highest international standards of safety, build quality and naval engineering. Riva, founded in 1842 on the shores of Lake Iseo, has operated within Ferretti Group since 2000 and currently builds superyachts at the Group’s yard in Ancona, one of the largest production facilities of its kind in Europe.
