Four Seasons Suzhou Opens: Luxury on a Private Island

The Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou, a stunning new addition to the cityscape, is now open for reservations, promising an urban resort experience on a private garden island.

Set in the dynamic heart of Suzhou and accessible via a private bridge, this low-rise, amenity-rich hotel offers a unique blend of city convenience and serene retreat. Guests can enjoy easy access to Suzhou’s business districts, leisure activities, and a rich tapestry of history and culture.

“We are thrilled to bring a new level of luxury to both local and international guests at this distinct property, where history and culture meet in a tranquil private island setting,” says Rami Sayess, Four Seasons President, Hotel Operations – Asia Pacific. The hotel, a collaboration with Sun Hung Kai Properties, echoes the success of the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong.

The hotel’s lush gardens intertwine with its buildings, offering lakeside and garden paths for peaceful strolls. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows in both public and private spaces invite the beauty of the outdoors in. The hotel also features an onsite pottery studio and floral design workshop. Guests can relax at the outdoor infinity pool, merging seamlessly with Jinji Lake, or find solace in the indoor pool with its impressive glass wall. Fitness facilities include a fully equipped gym and yoga studio, while the Wellness & Spa offers organic treatments inspired by the city’s heritage.

Veteran Four Seasons General Manager Arthur Ho has developed guest experiences centered around escape, creativity, energy, and wellbeing, ensuring a unique stay for each visitor.

The hotel is family-friendly, with supervised Kids For All Seasons facilities and a Teen Centre. Pet-friendly accommodations are also provided. Guests can engage in activities like cycling, wall climbing, culinary classes, and sailing. For relaxation, pastel painting, pottery, and floral art lessons are available.

Dining options include Jin Jing Ge, featuring innovative Jiangzhe cuisine under the guidance of Michelin-starred consultants, and Yun He, offering pan-Chinese dishes. The Lounge and Bar, ISOLA poolside bar and grill, and Dine by Desire for personalized dining experiences in the gardens, add to the culinary delights.

The hotel comprises 199 guest rooms and suites, and 11 freestanding villas, all offering garden and lake views. Located within an hour’s drive from several airports and high-speed train stations in Shanghai, Sunan, and Suzhou, it’s easily accessible for regional and international guests.

Business meetings and social occasions are catered to with over 1,000 square meters of event space, including the Four Seasons Ballroom, Grand Salon, and outdoor gardens. It’s poised to become a premier destination for weddings and events, with spectacular indoor and outdoor venues and luxurious penthouse suites for couples.
