Given the evolving nature of the pandemic, the Africa Tourism Association (ATA) and the Ghana Tourism Authority have made the difficult decision to postpone the World Tourism Conference previously scheduled to take place from 12-16 October 2020 in Accra, Ghana.
ATA said in a statement, “This was a tough call to make – the conference is an incredibly important event for ATA and a valuable platform to connect with our global community to discuss how to move the industry forward – but we need to prioritize the health and safety of our members, team, partners, delegates and stakeholders.
The Ghana Tourism Authority remains committed to partnering with ATA to host the Conference in Ghana, and together with ATA is currently exploring new dates which will be announced as soon as possible. In the interim, we are collaborating with our partners and planning other ways to connect to the travel and tourism community.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this decision and look forward to welcoming you to the Conference at a later date. On behalf of ATA and the Ghana Tourism Authority, thank you for your continued support and understanding during these challenging times. Please stay safe and informed.”
