The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) which will be held in Melbourne 23 – 24 February 2016, announced details of the program with new offerings for the next year’s event. “The changes to the program reflect the needs of the industry, feedback from exhibitors and buyers, and are a direct result of the productive sessions involving the new Advisory Board and a customer roadshow, which took place in June this year” said Sallie Coventry, ibtm events Portfolio Director, Reed.
Returning due to high demand, a new-look welcome function offering unprecedented networking opportunities will be hosted by MCB and take place on Monday evening 22 February 2016, replacing the gala event on the Wednesday evening.
A networking hour on Tuesday 23 February 2016 will take place on the show floor and the lively Saxton Showcase event will return, to be held on Wednesday morning 24 February 2016.
AIME Knowledge, the events education program will be even more accessible with its new home within lecture theatres on the show floor, and will include relevant content for buyers and exhibitors.
Other changes to the AIME 2016 program include keeping Tuesday evening free from official obligations to offer time for Exhibitors to host their own private functions.
The Hosted Buyer appointment system has also been revisited and 2016 will see the total transition to Reed Travel Exhibitions’ tried and tested platform, which delivered approximately 75,000 appointments for customers at ibtm world in Barcelona last year. This transition will be complemented by webinars and manuals for Exhibitors to maximise use of the appointment system, alongside a new pro-active customer concierge service.
AIME 2016 will open on Tuesday 23 February 2016, 10:00am to 6:00pm and Wednesday 24 February, 10:00am to 5:00pm.
