Dubai is set to host an impressive gathering of top travel tech brands at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
This prestigious event, scheduled from May 6 to May 9, promises to be a vibrant showcase of the latest advancements in travel technology. With a significant expansion of the Travel Tech area, which is now 56% larger than last year, ATM 2024 is poised to highlight the innovative solutions that are shaping the future of travel and tourism on a global scale.
The event, sponsored by Sabre, will introduce the ATM Future Stage, evolving from the former Travel Tech Stage. This platform will feature over a hundred expert speakers from the global travel sector, discussing advancements in technology aimed at enhancing sector efficiency and profitability.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for Arabian Travel Market, expressed enthusiasm for the ATM Future Stage. This new addition aims to spotlight the burgeoning innovation in the travel industry and build upon the Travel Tech segment’s success.
The global travel technology market, valued at $9.4 billion in 2022, is forecasted to reach $21 billion by 2032. The ATM Future Stage will explore this growth potential through various presentations and sessions, highlighting the expansive opportunities within the sector.
Key discussions at the ATM Future Stage will include future predictions by futurists, strategic implications of AI in business, AI’s role in prioritizing travelers, and leveraging technology for enhanced travel experiences, in collaboration with Amadeus.
ATM 2024 will also see the return of the ATM Start-up Pitch Battle, with promising regional startups presenting innovative solutions to expert judges. This competition underscores the event’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial talent in the travel tech industry.
The event will not only be a platform for startups but also feature sessions like the Capitalising on China’s Predicted Tourism Surge summit, sponsored by Huawei, highlighting the industry’s dynamic nature.
Confirmed exhibitors encompass a mix of ambitious startups and established brands, including Hotelbeds, TBO.com, and first-time exhibitors like ExploreTECH and bedsopia.com. This diverse lineup aligns with ATM 2024’s theme, “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship”.
For the first time, the ATM will include a ‘Best Use of Technology’ award, evaluating exhibitors on their technology integration and usage. This addition aims to highlight and reward innovative technology applications within the event.
The 31st edition of ATM is themed around empowering innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to reshape the future of global travel and tourism. The event will gather policymakers, industry leaders, and travel professionals to explore how innovation can enhance customer experiences and contribute to a sustainable future for the industry.
