The ERA’s General Assembly is set to reconvene in Innsbruck, marking its return to the scenic city after more than three decades. The picturesque backdrop of the Alps will play host to this premier event, which is expected to see participation from over 173 industry companies, including 45 airlines.
The event promises a diverse agenda, ranging from insightful conference sessions and an engaging exhibition environment to a grand awards dinner.
Marco Pernetta, Managing Director of Innsbruck Airport, highlighted the importance of the Tyrol region in Austria’s tourism landscape. He mentioned that the region generated a gross value of approximately €4.8 billion during the 2021-2022 tourism season, making it the top earner in tourism revenue in Austria. Pernetta emphasized the airport’s significance, not just for tourist traffic but also for commercial, industrial, congress tourism, and the university sector. He expressed enthusiasm about welcoming esteemed delegates from the European aviation industry.
Montserrat Barriga, Director General of ERA, spoke about the essence of the ERA General Assembly. She emphasized the importance of gathering members in one location, fostering unity and collaboration. In these challenging times, Barriga believes that the collective voice of multiple businesses can significantly impact and benefit the industry. She expressed her excitement about welcoming delegates to Innsbruck and hopes that the event will pave the way for strengthening existing business ties and forging new ones.
