Travelers often talk about the small upgrades that elevate a journey, whether it’s gliding through airport security or enjoying a quiet moment in a lounge before boarding. A new announcement from Iberia Cards aims to bring more of those moments within reach.
The company has launched a trio of travel-focused credit cards designed to offer tailored benefits for different lifestyles, according to Iberia Cards and Visa España. The new lineup—Visa Iberia Aire, Visa Iberia Icon+ and the invitation-only Visa Iberia Zenit—expands the perks available through Iberia Club and highlights the company’s growing focus on personalization and innovation across Spain’s travel sector.
This new family of cards comes as Iberia Cards strengthens its position as a leader in co-branded travel payments. The company currently serves 200,000 customers and holds nearly 10 percent of Spain’s credit card spending within the travel market. The refreshed product range is also part of a long-term strategy to connect everyday spending with meaningful travel rewards.
Three cards redefining how travelers earn and enjoy their journeys:
- Visa Iberia Aire: Designed for younger travelers seeking flexibility and quality at an accessible price. For €5 per month, Aire offers Avios accumulation, discounts on flights and experiences, and the potential to earn up to two round-trip tickets over two years with normal card use. Cardholders also receive savings on fuel, car rentals, travel insurance and e-SIM services, making Aire a practical entry point into Iberia’s travel ecosystem.
- Visa Iberia Icon+: Aimed at travelers who want to elevate their journey and enjoy additional comfort. For €24 per month, Icon+ includes all Aire benefits plus access to Iberia Club Plata status, extra Avios on everyday purchases and Fast Track security at select airports. It stands out as the only credit card granting access to Iberia’s VIP lounges. “Our goal is to accompany each traveler in their unique way of experiencing a trip,” said Bea Larregle, SVP and regional director at Visa for Southern Europe.
- Visa Iberia Zenit: The premium, invitation-only option for frequent travelers and families. At €79 per month, Zenit unlocks Iberia Club Oro status, enhanced Avios accumulation, premium insurance and a luxury concierge service. The card also offers exclusive perks across Iberia and its partner network in travel and lifestyle, positioning Zenit as a top-tier choice for travelers seeking a seamless, elevated experience.
The launch reflects Iberia Cards’ broader strategy to integrate advanced technology, personalization and secure payment solutions. As part of International Airlines Group (IAG), the company leverages shared loyalty benefits, cross-brand promotions and the expansive Avios ecosystem. “Iberia Cards is a key pillar in our loyalty strategy,” said Víctor Moneo, president of Iberia Cards. “It allows us to remain present in our customers’ daily lives, strengthening their connection with the brand even when they are not flying.”
Strategic partnerships also play an important role. Collaborations across sectors like fuel, insurance, entertainment and travel are designed to offer practical, everyday advantages while giving partner brands greater visibility. “It’s a win-win,” said Francisco Javier Cobo Velasco, director general of Iberia Cards. “Partners provide tangible benefits to our customers, and in return they gain recurrence and brand preference every time our users pay.”
Looking forward, Iberia Cards plans to deepen its presence in the tourism payments sector by expanding BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) solutions already adopted by major operators and rolling out virtual cards for travel agencies through its alliance with Visa. These developments align with broader industry trends where seamless, secure and low-friction payments increasingly shape traveler expectations.
Beyond technology, Iberia Cards highlights the emotional side of travel, aiming to create a closer, more aspirational brand experience. The company hopes each new card will help turn everyday purchases into more opportunities to explore the world.
Travelers can compare benefits, check eligibility and learn more about the new cards on Iberia Cards’ official website.
