AJet starts Bodrum to Bremen direct flights with weekly service

AJet has started direct flights between Bodrum and Bremen, opening a new route linking Türkiye’s Aegean coast with northern Germany. The airline marked the first arrival at Bremen Airport with a welcome ceremony and a traditional water salute.

The new service operates once a week, with reciprocal flights every Sunday between Bremen and Bodrum. The launch adds another international connection for Bodrum, a key tourism destination on Türkiye’s southwest coast.

AJet’s entry into the route comes as airlines continue to expand leisure travel links between Türkiye and major European cities. The new connection is expected to support both outbound travel from Germany and inbound tourism to Bodrum during the summer season.

Bremen Airport organised a reception for the inaugural flight, underlining the importance of the route for local aviation and tourism markets. The water salute is commonly used to celebrate the start of new air services.

The airline did not announce any other changes to its schedule in the report, but the direct service gives travellers a new option for reaching Bodrum without a transfer. For tourists, that can mean shorter journey times and simpler access to hotels and resorts along the coast.

Bodrum has long been one of Türkiye’s most popular holiday areas, known for its beaches, marina and summer resorts. New direct links from Europe are closely watched by the tourism sector because they can influence visitor numbers, particularly during the peak travel months.

Direct international routes also matter to regional airports such as Bremen, which rely on seasonal and leisure demand to attract airlines. Weekly operations can be a first step for carriers testing demand before considering additional frequencies.

AJet is among the carriers expanding its footprint on short-haul European routes from Türkiye. The Bodrum-Bremen service broadens the airline’s network and gives passengers another point-to-point option between the two countries.

For travellers, the route offers a direct link between a German city and one of Türkiye’s best-known coastal destinations. That makes it easier for holidaymakers, visiting friends and relatives, and tourism businesses to plan trips with fewer connections.
