The city of Antalya, renowned for its pristine beaches, radiant sun, natural beauty, historical attractions, and luxury facilities, continues to captivate tourists from around the globe, as per data from the Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate.
Kicking off the season with strong momentum, the number of tourists who visited Antalya by air between January 1 and August 22 reached a staggering 10,064,782.
Between August 1 and 22 alone, the city saw an influx of 1,880,693 tourists. This vibrant tourism season showcases a 20% increase compared to the same period last year.
Interestingly, in what was known as the “year of records” for tourism in 2019, Antalya had attracted 10,005,325 tourists by air from January 1 to August 22. The current year’s figures have surpassed even that benchmark, hinting at a prosperous year for Antalya’s tourism sector. (AA)
