Buğra Berberoğlu, a prominent figure in the hotel industry, has been named the Honorary Consul of France in Antalya.
The prestigious appointment was formally presented by France’s Ambassador to Turkey, Isabelle Dumont, during a ceremony attended by the French Consul in Ankara, Sylvie Magnen.
Berberoğlu, a second-generation hotelier, is currently the CEO and President of River Rock Hotels & Resorts. His illustrious career includes roles as CEO of Rixos Hotels, COO of Kempinski Hotels, and Managing Director at Emirates Palace. He has also held senior executive positions at IHG in Miami, Chicago, and Puerto Rico.
The appointment ceremony was followed by a luncheon at Nejat Balık in Lara, where tourism was the main topic of discussion. The event highlighted the potential for enhanced collaboration between France and Turkey in the tourism sector.

A graduate of the esteemed Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Berberoğlu brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. His father was a pioneer in Antalya’s tourism industry, opening one of the first resorts in the region in the 1970s.
