The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is getting ready to inaugurate a new terminal and runway at Lefkosa International Airport, according to a recent announcement.

The ambitious additions to the airport, made possible by a €400 million (over $438 million) investment, will significantly enhance the facility. Uraloglu highlighted that the new terminal would have a passenger capacity of 10 million and offer parking space for 30 aircraft. Additionally, the upgraded runway, which spans an impressive 3.1 kilometers (over 1.9 miles), is designed to accommodate all models of passenger aircraft.
Confirming the completion of test flights, Uraloglu emphasized that these enhancements would have a substantial positive impact on tourism and the economy of the TRNC. Moreover, they would establish improved connectivity, allowing the country to establish stronger links with the rest of the world.
The new terminal and runway serve as a testament to the TRNC’s commitment to development and growth.
