ATU Duty Free at Galataport Istanbul

Galataport Istanbul Welcomes ATU Duty Free’s Innovative Store Concept

In a fusion of the modern and the traditional, ATU Duty Free has unveiled its latest store at the heart of Galataport Istanbul. This unique store marries the conventional duty-free shopping experience with the richness of the Old Bazaar, creating an unprecedented shopping milieu for both locals and tourists.

Sprawling over 670 square meters within the Galataport Istanbul cruise terminal, this store sits amidst a bustling backdrop of upscale restaurants, iconic brands, and commercial spaces that stretch from Karaköy Dock to Fındıklı.

The store’s design, based on the “walkthrough” concept, boasts a chic and contemporary ambiance. Patrons can indulge in a myriad of products, from classic duty-free items like perfumes, cosmetics, and chocolates to the more traditional offerings reflective of Turkish culture. Items such as Turkish delight, baklava, specialty teas, and local coffees are showcased alongside exquisite jewelry, souvenirs, and home textiles.

Ersan Arcan, CEO of ATU Duty Free, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “With our rich legacy and growth strategy in the duty-free domain, we’ve established a distinct position among European operators.” He further emphasized ATU Duty Free’s commitment to bringing world-class brands to duty-free shopping zones both in Turkey and abroad, expressing his pride in joining a transformative project like Galataport.

Erdem Tavas, a key figure in Galataport Istanbul’s Executive Board, accentuated Galataport’s distinctiveness, highlighting its redefinition of a treasured historical stretch along the Bosphorus. Tavas stated, “With the world’s first underground cruise terminal, Galataport aims to attract 25 million visitors annually.” He also expressed his excitement at hosting ATU Duty Free, emphasizing its role in enriching Galataport’s offering to its visitors.
