Istanbul is the fastest-growing hotel market in Europe this year, with more than 3,000 new rooms expected to enter the city’s supply across openings ranging from renovated landmarks to purpose-built business hotels.

Mövenpick Istanbul Old Town
Opened: March 2026
Located on Ataturk Bulvari in the Unkapani district of Fatih, Mövenpick Istanbul Old Town sits at the centre of Istanbul’s historic peninsula, within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, Eminonu, Sirkeci and the Balat neighbourhood. The 149-room property is operated by Accor under the Mövenpick brand and features the Valens restaurant, a lobby cafe, bar and indoor pool. The opening adds a major international midscale brand to the Old Town accommodation market, which has historically been dominated by independent and boutique operators.
DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Macka
Opened: April 2026
Located in the Macka neighbourhood between Taksim and Nisantasi, this 109-room hotel is a full rebuild of the former Hilton ParkSA, developed in partnership between Sabanci Group’s hospitality subsidiary Tursa and Hilton. Rooms and suites offer Bosphorus and city views, and the hotel introduces Regale Bar and Terrace, a rooftop dining and bar concept making its debut in Turkey following launches in Sofia and Warsaw. The property also features an all-day dining restaurant, fitness centre and technology-equipped meeting rooms. The hotel is also in close proximity to the Beşiktaş Football Stadium.
Elite World INN Istanbul Mahmutbey
Opened: April 2026
Developed in partnership with King City Otelcilik, this 63-room business-focused hotel is located in Mahmutbey on Istanbul’s European side, close to Istanbul Airport and the city’s key industrial and commercial zones. The property offers Trendy and Deluxe room categories alongside 55-square-metre suites with jacuzzi facilities. Facilities include a 300-square-metre spa and fitness area, a 400-square-metre restaurant and meeting room, and an open-buffet breakfast service.
Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus (Post-Renovation Relaunch)
Renovation completed: April 2026
First opened in 1955 as Hilton’s first international hotel outside the Americas, the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus has completed a full-scale renovation exceeding 90 million US dollars, with interiors redesigned by Istanbul-based studio Autoban. All 475 guest rooms and suites have been refreshed using marble, wood and leather finishes, with private balconies or terraces framing Bosphorus and garden views. The relaunch introduces five new dining and social venues: Malva, a signature Turkish fine-dining restaurant; Sazzou, a late-night jazz lounge; Lalou, a lobby brasserie; Arlo, a Mediterranean concept; and Bosolei, a French Riviera-inspired poolside venue. The property also features more than 4,000 square metres of event space and four signature suites, each themed around a chapter in the hotel’s history. Hilton Istanbul Airport
Opening: September 2026
Set to be the first Hilton-branded hotel at Istanbul Airport, one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs, the property will open with 485 rooms and suites directly opposite the terminal building. Dining is anchored by three OXBO-branded venues: OXBO Restaurant, OXBO Cafe and OXBO Bar. Additional facilities include a spa, indoor pool, executive lounge and fitness centre. The hotel is managed under an agreement with TAYA Gayrimenkul Yatirim Isletmeleri and is positioned to serve both transit passengers and business travellers.
Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Caglayan
Expected opening: Q3 2026
Situated in central Istanbul directly opposite the Istanbul Justice Palace, Europe’s largest courthouse, this 88-room property will operate under Radisson Hotel Group’s Park Inn by Radisson brand. The hotel offers standard rooms through to suites, including 19 connecting rooms, alongside an all-day dining restaurant, a Lobby Bar and Lounge, two small-group meeting rooms and a gym. The opening forms part of Radisson Hotel Group’s stated goal of reaching 100 hotels in Turkey by 2030.
Premier Hotel Kagithane Istanbul, a member of Radisson Individuals
Expected opening: Q3 2026
Located in the Kagithane district on Istanbul’s European side, this 78-room property is affiliated with Radisson Hotel Group’s independent hotel brand, Radisson Individuals. The hotel sits on a greenfield site approximately 10 minutes by car from the city centre and 32 kilometres from Istanbul Airport. Facilities include a 341-square-metre ballroom designed for events and conferences, an 800-square-metre spa and wellness area, an indoor pool, a fitness centre and an all-day dining lobby bar.

Located on Ciragan Street in Besiktas, this boutique residence-hotel is the first property under Elite World Hotels and Resorts’ new Elite World Homes brand. The 20-room property sits steps from Ciragan Palace and offers Bosphorus views across all room categories. Rooms are equipped with full kitchens and washing machines to cater for extended stays, and some categories include jacuzzis. The hotel is designed to bridge the gap between serviced apartment and hotel accommodation.
The Ritus Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
Opened: July 2025
The first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in Turkey, The Ritus Hotel occupies a converted pair of adjacent heritage buildings directly across from Sultanahmet Square, preserving the original facade and ornate window designs while introducing dark wood floors and bright contemporary interiors. The 44-room hotel draws its name and identity from the Latin word for ritual, with its concept shaped by the historic Hippodrome next door and original artworks by Turkish painter Ismail Acar. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant serving Turkish and international cuisine, a stylish lobby bar, a terrace and a fitness centre.
Moxy Istanbul Taksim
Opened: June 2025
Marriott’s first Moxy hotel in Turkey, located in the historic Afrika Han building in the Beyoglu district, steps from Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue. The 167-room property blends neoclassical architecture with the brand’s signature industrial-meets-playful design, with locally inspired artwork drawn from Turkish cinema running throughout the interiors. Bar Moxy doubles as the front desk and social hub, while the hotel also features a 24-hour gym and library lounge. The opening marks the brand’s debut in Turkey.
Aloft Istanbul Karakoy
Opened: September 2025
Situated on Bankalar Caddesi in Karakoy, a short walk from Galata Tower and Istanbul Modern, this 107-room property is Marriott’s second Aloft hotel in Turkey and the brand’s first in Istanbul. Loft-style rooms feature high ceilings, platform beds and walk-in rainfall showers, with interiors incorporating artwork by local artists Serap Sokol and Ecem Dilan Kose. Public spaces centre on the WXYZ Bar, which hosts live music and cocktails, alongside an all-day dining restaurant with a city-view terrace, a 24-hour Re:charge gym and a 24/7 Re:fuel grab-and-go market.
Altunizade Suites Istanbul, Curio Collection by Hilton

Located in the Altunizade neighbourhood on Istanbul’s Asian side, five minutes from the Bosphorus Bridge, this all-suite property is the second Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Turkey. Suites are equipped with kitchenettes and balconies, and the hotel features a spa with Turkish hammam, sauna and steam rooms, an indoor heated pool, and a restaurant. Aliée Istanbul, a Paris Society Collection Hotel

Set within the historic Tersane Istanbul shipyard complex on the shores of the Golden Horn, Aliée Istanbul is the most ambitious luxury opening in the city in recent years. The property from Paris Society, the French hospitality group behind venues including Raspoutine and Villa M, spans four historic structures including the Foundry, Casthouse, Atelier and a converted Heritage Villa, offering 122 individually designed rooms and suites. Six dining and drinking venues anchor the guest experience, led by Taste, an open-kitchen restaurant helmed by three-Michelin-star chef Thomas Bühner. A 4,000-square-metre wellness facility, Aliée Well+, features marble hammams, lagoon-style pools and a longevity clinic, while the Aliée Swim Club provides waterfront access on the Golden Horn. Guests can arrive by private boat at the hotel’s dedicated pier.
Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim

Located steps from Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue in the Beyoglu district, this 110-room property marks the debut of Hilton’s Canopy brand in Turkey. The hotel blends contemporary design with the neighbourhood’s layered cultural heritage, and features an all-day restaurant serving Turkish and international cuisine alongside a wine bar set within a 150-year-old cistern, one of the most distinctive dining spaces to open in Istanbul in recent years.
A Market in Sustained Expansion
The scale and variety of Istanbul’s current hotel pipeline reflects a city that has firmly established itself as one of Europe’s most competitive hospitality markets. From the revival of a 70-year-old Hilton landmark to the arrival of Marriott’s lifestyle brands and the debut of a Paris Society property on the Golden Horn, the openings of 2025 and 2026 span every segment from design-led midscale to ultra-luxury.
The momentum shows no sign of slowing. Radisson Hotel Group has two properties scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. Hilton Istanbul Airport is set to add 485 rooms to the city’s supply by September, and CoStar data places Istanbul second only to London among European cities for new hotel room additions this year.
This wave of investment builds on a strong 2024 in which Istanbul also saw a series of notable branded openings, including Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, which brought Marriott’s premium heritage brand to the historic peninsula for the first time. Istanbul has long been one of the world’s great cities for accommodation. In 2025 and 2026, it is becoming one of the most dynamic.
