As the coronavirus cases and deaths continue to rise in Turkey, Turkish Airlines announced the extension of international flight suspension.
In accordance with the decisions taken by the authorities of the Republic of Turkey and to protect the public health from novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all Turkish Airlines international flights are suspended until May 20, 2020.
The airline also announced that starting from April 03, 2020, 23:59 (UTC +3), all its domestic flights are suspended until April 20, 2020.
Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Monday announced 98 more deaths from COVID-19 and the total number of coronavirus cases surged to 61,049 as 4,093 more people tested positive for the virus.
President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced on Monday night that Turkey will continue with its weekend curfews, which first introduced on Friday night on April 10. The next curfew will be imposed on April 18-19.
